B.E. Architecture.

Across twenty-five years of practice B.E.Architecture has amassed a substantial portfolio of houses throughout Australia, as well as international commissions.
Each of our houses are informed by an understanding of their context and how the end user experiences the building so each is meaningful to its owners, remaining relevant over time.
Our services are comprehensive covering all aspects required in the creation of each house from beginning to the end. The typology of our projects ranges from urban inner-city, to country and coastal commissions.

As well as contemporary new houses a substantial portion of our work includes the renovation and restoration of heritage buildings. Each of these dwelling types are different from each other, requiring a different awareness and sensibility.

B.E. Architecture has a long history creating significant residential architecture.

B.E. Architecture team

The practice is led by directors Andrew Piva, Jonathan Boucher and Broderick Ely. Each project is guided by the directors along with one of their four team leaders who are long standing employees of the practice. All three directors with the designated the team leaders’ interface with each client, ensuring all aspects of the building encapsulates their needs.

The team leader manages their own small group of architects creating the intensity and focus of a small office. The office works by a strict code of practice ensuring a smooth process that incorporates dealing with builders and often individual contractors to ensure the best outcomes for each client.

B.E. Architecture Interiors

Each B.E. Architecture project has a unique identity created by the consideration of all its parts. As well as the architecture, our practice delivers a complete interior design service, creating a singular clear identity for each project. This service addresses all the interior detailing including selection requirements such as appliances, fittings and fixtures, materials and colours all presented to the clients for their consideration. The service can include the curation of furniture and artwork – either replacing or integrating with our clients existing collections. This can often include the creation of bespoke one-off pieces to satisfy a client’s particular needs where not readily available in the marketplace.

B.E. Architecture Byron Bay Office

Over the years our residential commissions have taken us interstate with projects now in most major cities in Australia. This has led to the opening of our second office in Byron Bay creating a local presence for our residential commissions on the east coast. Having worked extensively in NSW and QLD from our Melbourne based practice over many years, we recognise the importance of establishing a local identity to better serve our interstate clients and foster a closer collaboration with our builders and trades on a daily basis.
